1. Introduction

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order with us. By purchasing from www.alturaroast.co.uk, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or place an order.


These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases made through our website and constitute the entire agreement between you and us in relation to your purchase.

Altura Roast ("Altura", "we", "us", "our") operates the website www.alturaroast.co.uk. We are a UK-based speciality coffee brand.

3. Our Products

We sell specialty coffee roasted to order. All products are subject to availability. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend any product from our website at any time without notice.


Product images are for illustrative purposes only. Whilst we make every effort to display colours and packaging accurately, there may be slight variations between the images shown and the product you receive.


Coffee is a natural agricultural product, and flavour notes may vary slightly between batches. This is a normal characteristic of speciality coffee and does not constitute a defect.


4. Placing an Order

4.1 How to order

Orders can be placed through our website at www.alturaroast.co.uk. Once you have placed an order, you will receive an order confirmation email. This email is acknowledgement of your order, not acceptance of it.


4.2 Acceptance of your order

Your order is accepted and a contract formed between us when we dispatch your goods and send you a dispatch confirmation email. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at any time, including after confirmation, for reasons such as:


The product being out of stock or unavailable

An error in the product description or price on our website

We are unable to obtain payment authorisation

Suspected fraudulent activity


If we cancel your order, we will notify you by email and issue a full refund.


4.3 Accuracy of information

You are responsible for ensuring all information provided when placing an order (including your delivery address) is accurate and complete. We are not responsible for orders that cannot be delivered due to incorrect information being supplied.


5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Prices

All prices shown on our website are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice. The price you pay is the price shown at the time you place your order.


5.2 Delivery charges

Free delivery is offered on all orders. Delivery is included in the product price displayed on our website. No additional delivery charges will be added at checkout.


5.3 Payment

Payment must be made in full at the time of ordering. We accept major credit and debit cards and other payment methods as displayed at checkout. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider. We do not store your card details.


6. Delivery

6.1 Dispatch times

We deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom only. We are unable to ship to BFPO postcodes or international addresses. As our coffee is roasted to order, we aim to dispatch all orders within 2 business days of your order being placed. Orders placed on weekends or bank holidays will be processed the next business day.


6.2 Delivery times

Estimated delivery times after dispatch are as follows:


Royal Mail 2nd Class Tracked: usually 2–4 working days

Royal Mail 1st Class Tracked: usually 1–2 working days


DPD Next Working Day: next working day with a one-hour delivery slot (some non-mainland UK addresses may incur an additional surcharge)


Delivery times are estimates only and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by the courier or circumstances outside our control (including adverse weather, industrial action, or customs delays).


6.3 Failed deliveries

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, the courier will follow their standard redelivery or collection process. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failure to collect, we will contact you to arrange redelivery. Additional delivery charges may apply in this case.


6.4 Risk and ownership

Risk in the goods passes to you upon delivery. Ownership of the goods passes to you once we have received full payment.


7. Returns and Refunds

7.1 Your right to cancel (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

As a consumer purchasing online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods without giving a reason. To exercise this right, you must notify us within 14 days of delivery by contacting us at hello@alturaroast.co.uk.


Please note: This right does not apply to sealed goods which have been opened after delivery and which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons. If you open your coffee, you waive your right to cancel under this regulation.


7.2 How to return

If you wish to return an unopened item, please contact us at hello@alturaroast.co.uk before sending anything back. You are responsible for the cost of returning goods to us. We recommend using a tracked service, as we cannot be responsible for items lost in transit.


7.3 Refunds

Once we receive your returned item and confirm it is in its original, unopened condition, we will process a refund within 14 days. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.


7.4 Damaged or incorrect orders

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong item, please contact us at hello@alturaroast.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery with a description and photo of the issue. We will arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.


7.5 Quality complaints

We take product quality very seriously. If you are unhappy with the quality of your coffee, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve the issue. We may ask for more information to help us investigate and improve.


8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, branding, and product photography, is the intellectual property of Altura Roast and is protected by UK and international copyright law.


You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without our prior written consent.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Altura Roast shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of our website or products.


Our total liability to you in connection with any order shall not exceed the value of that order.


Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.


Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.


10. Website Use

You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes. You must not use our website in any way that:


Is unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent

Transmits unsolicited or unauthorised advertising

Attempts to gain unauthorised access to our systems

Disrupts or interferes with the website's functionality


We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our website at any time if we believe you are in breach of these terms.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
